Cutting Income Tax on Industrial Exports Encourages Investments

It seems that some of industrialists' demands are now met.A draft law that cuts income tax on industrial exports by half was approved by the  Lebanese Cabinet on March, 2012 and still needs the Parliament’s ratification. The Industry Ministry announced that the tax reduction will help industries increase export-oriented production, encourage investments in the industrial sector, and create new job opportunities

On the other hand, Industry Minister said Monday that the Lebanese economy enters a phase of recession. Industrialists are not able to stand the additional charges amid the current critical economic situation on the domestic regional and international levels, he said. The Minister statement came during a meeting with Lebanese industrialists over a decision by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) to increase subscription fees.
