DSL Free Between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m

Good news for internet users. Following the Cabinet session at Grand Serail on Tuesday, Information Minister Walid Daouk announced that the Cabinet approved reduction of the Telecommunications Ministry’s tariff and fees on DSL use, Internet and commercial lines.As a result, the Internet has become free between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m,” he said.


Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sahnawi has recently announced that he has submitted a request to the Cabinet to amend the DSL monthly fees. This step allows 122,000 DSL subscribers to have access to unlimited DSL nighttime usage .

The country’s Internet capacity has been increased from 3 Gbps to 23 Gbps in recent months, he said, adding that Lebanon’s bandwidth will increase to 33 Gbps within a few weeks.
