Lebanon To Export to East Europe, Iran

Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan said that Lebanon was searching for new markets in East Europe and Russia to export its agricultural products following the Syrian crisis's bad effect upon Lebanon's agriculture.He assured that Lebanon will export 5,000 tons of citrus fruits to Iran.


Hajj Hassan's stance came on Monday in the context of a press conference which he described to be as supporting IDAL institution, especially IDAL's distinguished role in developing Lebanese exportation and investment.


Hajj Hassan thanked Prime Minister Najib Mikati and President Michel Sleiman for the agricultural decisions they adopted, concerning allocating a LBP50 billion to promote agricultural exports and LBP12 billion  for the fishing sector. NNA
