Lebanon ranks 18 globally in gold reserves
Lebanon is in second place after Saudi Arabia in gold reserves in the Middle East, according to a report issued by The World Gold Council.
Lebanon ranks 18 in gold reserves around the world, amounting to 286.8 tons, advancing over Algeria, Turkey, Kuwait, Egypt and the rest of countries in Middle East.
The U.S. tops the list of countries in gold reserves with 8,133 tons followed by Germany with 3,396 tons and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with 2,814 tons.
