Market For Solar Water Heaters in Lebanon to Exceed $25M in 2012
In 2011, more than 50,000 square meters of solar water heaters were installed in Lebanon, the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservaton (LCEC) states.Supported by data from the Central Bank of Lebanon and a detailed survey by LCEC, the installation of solar water heaters systems in 2011 exceeded the set target.
A full analysis of this market including companies, products, banks involvement, market shares, potential future expansions, will be compiled in a report currently under preparation by the UNDP Global SWH Project team.
The results will be published in a book to be distributed to participants of Session 5 of the Beirut Energy Forum 2012. LCEC believes that the market for solar water heaters in Lebanon will exceed $25 million in 2012.
