Pope Follows Green Policies

The environmental advisor Mazen Abboud said that the pope Benedict XVI has followed green policies within the Vatican State, based on reliance on renewable energy.He also mentioned that his holiness has replaced his car with another green one, consuming less fuel.

 

Abboud asked Lebanese environmentalists to welcome the pope, known as" green pope", "noting that the head of the Catholic Church is one of the biggest defenders of God's creatures in his writings, meetings and travels. He has taken "defending the environment" issue as the theme of his pontificate.

 

Abboud hopes that this visit will open a new page green in Lebanon green economy its history and the region as well.
