So Easy Now In Lebanon. Want A Cat or Dog?

By Elissa Raphael. Cats and dogs abandoned or neglected in pet shops can now be adopted.Lebanon Animals’ association is ready to assist in order to make the adoption process successful.

Animals Lebanon’s main goal is to protect animals through legislation, education, campaigns and rescue. The association is working in association with the World Animal Health Organization and the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture to draft and enact the national animal welfare legislation. It is also campaigning to ensure that Lebanon joins the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

 

Lebanon, however, is home of 2.63 percent of the world’s bird, reptile and mammal species, according to the report on the Lebanese Environment published by Ministry of Environment and UNDP.
