Soft Loans, Fiscal Motivations To Encourage CLEAN INDUSTRY in Lebanon

The clean industry concept was the main focus of the workshop, recently organized under the patronage of Industry Minister Vreij Sabounjian.The workshop mainly recommends to provide soft loans to support industries which adopt cleaner production concept, in addition to fiscal motivations for clean industry.

Major recommendations also include providing funds to encourage universities and research centers to conduct further studies on cleaner production in addition to organizing training sessions for factories' owners to boost their technical potential in this field.
The issuance of a book of conditions on industries has also been recommended.


Clean industry is usually adopted by factories to protect environment by minimizing waste and emissions.


Workshop discussions also revolved around food industry's cleaning and sterilization process, alternative energy in industrial wastewater management.
